Summer Corn

Austen loves corn on the cob.... a lot!!!
We bought some the other night and after he ate two whole cobs, he was mad that there wasn't anymore left.
I have a feeling that we will be buying a lot of corn from the Farmer's Market this year!

So I Guess This Is How Brian Watches Austen

I left to get some new make up last Saturday with Brian in charge of Austen.
They had to run to a gardening store for a project that we are doing in the yard and apparently since Austen doesn't stay put for one second, this was Brian's solution.
(He didn't even tell me about putting Austen in an actual cage.....I just found these pictures on my camera.)

Epic Family Day

We had the best family day last week. We were busy busy busy from the time we got up until bedtime, but it was really fun!

First we stopped by the chalk art festival at the gateway to see the amazing pictures.

Austen of course loved it!

So much so that he wanted to recreate it at home.

After the little man's nap we went to the South Jordan fair and had a blast.
There were rides and games and even snowcones.

Playing a water squirting game.

That he WON!!!

Driving what he calls a jeep with his little friend.

A huge slide with daddy that he loved!!!

And to end the night....fireworks.

He was so tired when we got home, that he was looking a little comatose.

We Needed A Little Distraction From Life

Last week was rough.
I didn't really feel like blogging.
I needed to get away......something to distract me.
So I took the little man to his favorite places.

And then out for ice cream.

When life gets hard, he makes it worth it.

This Father's day I let Austen pick the gift to give Brian and out of all my suggestions he picked....

I Guess We've Started A Collection

It all started with Brian buying Austen a Woody pez for his birthday and now everytime he sees a cool pez he buys it for Austen.
We just bought all the different Cars characters we could find and Austen was really excited about it.
If you know Brian, you know he can never just buy one of anything, so the accumulation of useless stuff is a problem around here, but Austen is surprisingly into the pez collection.
He really loves it and gets excited when we add to it.
