A REAL Big Boy Bed

I don't want to brag or anything.....okay, that's pretty much all I do on this blog, but I have the most amazing family in the whole world. My very generous Grandma offered us a twin bed for Austen and when we went down to pick it up not only was it a mattress, but a box spring, a really nice frame with wheels, and a super cute headboard. I was not expecting all the trimmings, so THANK YOU Grandma J!

Austen was excited to get a real big boy bed because he wasn't really fooled by us taking off the front panel of his crib and calling it a big boy bed. He knew it was still just a crib.

We got it all set up and were planning to use a super cute quilt my Mom is in the process of making for Austen, but when we went to Target to find some sheets Austen saw a truck quilt and was so excited about it. He even told me he wanted it "so bad". So I figured since the whole rest of the bed was free and we didn't have to buy a headboard we could spring for the cute bedding.

If you know Austen, you know he is so into trucks and tractors and pretty much any heavy machinery so this is perfect for him. He even wants to make his bed every morning!

But......I'm sure this is his favorite thing about the new bed.

REAL bouncing......crib mattresses aren't very bouncy.
