Archer Stats

I took Archer to the Dr. earlier this week for his check up (we were a month late because of insurance issues).  He is still a big boy!  He weighs 24 lbs which puts him in the 96th percentile for weight and 29 inches makes him 55th percentile for height (up from 13th percentile on his last visit).  His head stayed in the same percentile as last time 82.
The Dr. was concerned about his lack of interest in food and his inability to swallow food or purees without gagging and choking.  He recommended we go to the children's hospital to see some specialists and do an
x-ray swallow test.  I was very upset by this obviously, and pretty worried, but after thinking about it non stop for two days, I've decided to make an executive Mommy decision and hold off on such an extreme test for now.  I really don't think anything is wrong with him, I just think he doesn't like food right now.  He's obviously not suffering considering how high he is on the weight chart.  I think if it's still a problem by the time he turns one, I will revisit it.

He is currently loving this airplane toy!  He loves to ride it, and tip it over to stick stiff in the under the seat compartment.

He also likes to carry things in his mouth from one place to another....this cracks me up!

His newest thing is to stick his tongue out when he's exerting himself, like standing up or climbing over something.  I haven't been able to get a picture of it yet, but hopefully I catch it soon because it's CUTE!

Also, I LOVE it when you leave comments, but if you don't add your name, I have no idea who they are from.  So type your name in with your comment unless you want to stay anonymous.

  1. Executive Mommy decisions are usually right! He'll let you know when he's ready for food and doesn't seem to have a problem swallowing milk, right. He seems pretty well nourished to me!
