I really wish I could just slow down time. I swear my little Archer man is going to be in kindergarten before I know it. I am LOVING this time in our lives! Archer is the best baby ever and Austen is so much fun!
Archer is doing amazing, he rolls over from his back to his tummy, he laughs, he grabs toys, and he sleeps through the night! (He has slept 7 consecutive hours or more for the past six nights, so I think that counts as sleeping through the night.) He weighs 19lbs though and is getting very hard to carry around. Poor guy is seriously huge and solid with tiny little Nelson legs.
His personality is really starting to come out more and more and I have to say it is such an exciting thing to witness it emerge. I am just so excited to see more of who this little person is.
I hang toys on the dishwasher while I cook dinner....this buys me at least 15 min most evenings.
Look at that boy....I LOVE him all squishy!
Austen has started playing two new games around the house that make me laugh all day. First, he loves to pretend he is a spy. He will follow me from room to room and hide while he watches me....it's super cute because he thinks I have no idea he's in there. He even has his "spy gear" which consists of binoculars, a magnifying glass, and a cell phone. He will spy on the neighbors too and then report back to me what he's discovered. I'm telling you it is absolutely hilarious!
The second thing he's been doing lately is he will describe things to me and have me guess instead of just telling me the thing. For example, when I ask him what he wants for lunch he'll say "it's green and crunchy and gets dipped in ranch" and then he thinks it absolutely amazing when I know he's talking about a cucumber. Cracks me up every time. I don't know if everyone thinks their kids are this funny, but I think Austen is the funniest person I've ever met.....well, maybe tied with his Dad.
